4K HDMI Audio Embedder PRODUCT DETAILS

The BUNGPUNG 4k HDMI Audio embedder could embed audio signals to HDMI output from optical digital (SPDIF) or analog stereo Line (3.5 mm L/R) audio. It will then output the combination as a single HDMI audio/video signal to your display. There's also the option to keep the original HDMI audio instead of replacing it.
Further, both input and output HDMI support video resolution up to 4K@60Hz (YUV444), compatible with HDMI 2.0 HDCP 2.2 HDR CEC.
It supports HDMI high resolution digital audio formats bypass, such as LPCM 2CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio, audio sampling rate up to 192 kHz. HDCP 2.2 and CEC bypass are supported.

  1. What is the function of the EDID switch on this product?
User can select input audio format according to HDMI, Optical or Line.
▪ When the EDID switch is dialed to HDMI, the audio of HDMI Out port come from HDMI In port.
▪ When the EDID switch is dialed to Optical, the audio of HDMI Out port come from Optical In port.
▪ When the EDID switch is dialed to Line, the audio of HDMI Out port come from Line In port input.
  1. Will this product add audio to an HDMI/DVI input signal that has no audio? Yes
  2. Can I use the inserter to mix the original HDMI sound and external audio source? No. it will not mix the audio, only pass one or the other based on the EDID switch setting. It will either play sound from the HDMI input, line or optical input.
  1. Can this audio embedder be used to create an audio-only hdmi output? No, there is no way to send only audio over HDMI. there must be video on the input before audio can be embedded.
  2. Can I feed toslink digital audio only (no hdmi input) and just send audio through hdmi out? No. You would need to have an HDMI/DVI video input because that's where the toslink audio gets added on to.
  3. What audio formats are supported by the optical audio input port? LPCM 2CH, Dolby Digital 2/5.1CH, DTS 2/5.1CH
  4. What audio formats are supported by the line audio input port? Analog Stereo 2CH
  5. Does this product support audio format conversion? No. It is pass-through for both audio and video signals. Therefore, the TV connected to its HDMI output must support the inserted audio signal, otherwise it cannot be played.
